What We Believe

We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant word of God, a revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason.

We believe in One True Godhead comprised of three separate and distinct personalities, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, Who are eternally self-existent, self-revealed and yet function as one entity.  God is good and has only good plans for mankind and is willing that all be saved.

We believe Jesus Christ, Who is God manifested in the flesh, is the second member of the Godhead, co-equal and co-eternal with The Father and The Holy Spirit.  Jesus Christ as the one and only Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin, Mary, and is God’s  Anointed One, empowered by the Holy Spirit to inaugurate God’s Kingdom on earth.  He was crucified for our sins, died, was buried, resurrected and ascended into heaven, is now alive today, at the right hand of God the Father and simultaneously lives within His people.  The victorious redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides freedom from the power of the enemy, sin, lies, sickness and torment.

We believe the Holy Spirit to be the third person of the Trinity whose purpose is to convince men of sin, regenerate the repentant believer, guide the believer into all truth, indwell and give gifts to believers as He wills, that they may minister as Christ would to mankind.  We further believe that the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is available to believers today and will be evidenced by manifestations of supernatural gifts of the Spirit that they might have power to be witnesses.

We believe that man was created good and upright, for God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness.”  God’s purpose was that we know and enjoy Him.  But man, by voluntary transgression, fell, and sickness, death and judgment entered the world and now creation experiences the effects and consequences of sin.  Man’s only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.  Each person must believe for himself, be baptized for himself, and answer to his Creator for himself.

We believe in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ as a body of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ and who assemble to worship, carry forth the Great Commission, and minister as the Holy Ghost leads according to the Scriptures.  Each Believer is a priest of the Lord and has direct access to God the Father through the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe the Lord gave two ordinances to the church.  Water Baptism by immersion in water is the substance, not symbolism, of our identification with Jesus Christ in His death burial and resurrection.  The Lord’s Supper is a meal in memorial of the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that God has in the past and continues to use doctors, medicines, and other material means for healing, but that divine healing is provided for all in the atonement and always the will of God.

We believe that God is bringing each believer to the reality of co-crucifixion and co-resurrection in Christ.  The believer’s identity is no longer in self-life, but in the life of Christ as He lives in him/her.

We believe our Lord Jesus Christ shall return with His saints from Heaven.  There will be a resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting death.
